Coach Hollie has been with us for quite awhile, but there may be some info in here you didn’t know!
My name is Hollie Stanton and I am from Shallowater, TX. I graduated from Texas Tech in 1998 with a degree in Exercise & Sport Science and Texas State University in 2000 where I earned her Master’s degree in Sports Management while coaching basketball, recruiting, and running summer camps. My coaching passion then led me to University of the Incarnate Word and University and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where I taught activity classes, strength and conditioning classes, coached basketball, and lots of things in between. I eventually earned an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2010.
My CrossFit journey started in 2010 at CrossFit 254 in Killeen, TX and then moved to CrossFit Haywire in Temple, TX. After my time in Central Texas I moved back to Lubbock to be closer to my family and joined CrossFit Paladin.
I missed coaching and decided CrossFit would be a great way to fuel my coaching bug. I am a Level-1 CrossFit Coach and a Level-1 Burgner Strength Coach and also have certifications in CrossFit Kids Course.
I am passionate about CrossFit because of all the things that CrossFit represents and how it focuses on long term health benefits. I love the inclusivity of the CrossFit community and how all workouts can be adapted to anyone, for any reason at any time. I typically workout in the morning classes but can be found coaching or working out in the afternoon classes as well.
I am currently the College Advisor at Lubbock ISD’s Talkington School for Young Women Leaders. I love being outdoors, traveling, playing golf, snow skiing or anything that tests my athletic (or non-athletic) abilities. I have two dogs that I adore (Hondo and Scout) and I love spending time with my friends and family.
