How to Get Started

So, you’ve decided it’s time to make a change. Congrats! That’s the first step.
But now you may be wondering “what do I do next?”

At CrossFit Paladin we have it broken down into 3 simple steps.

Step 1. Schedule a Free Intro.
Step 2. Pick your plan.
Step 3. Show up/do the work.

In this post I’m going to explain the first step in detail so you know exactly what to expect. It’s not complicated, but can feel overwhelming when you aren’t sure what to do.

Step 1. Schedule a Free Intro. This is a short meeting (about 15-20 minutes) with me where you’ll come in to the gym, I’ll show you around, I’ll ask some questions about your goals, your health and fitness history, and basically just get to know you.

I’ll then make a recommendation for your plan, based on your goals and your history. This recommendation may be to start our On Ramp program, especially if you are new to CrossFit (because we want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience). Or we may recommend starting with Individual Nutrition Coaching, where we help you gain healthy nutrition habits. Sometimes people are great candidates to join our group classes, while others might be best served with a personal training program. Or perhaps you have some bigtime goals and are the type of person that wants to go all in- I might recommend a plan that covers all of the above. But I won’t recommend anything that won’t help you- we aren’t here to make a quick buck. We are here to help people make lifelong transformations, and if we didn’t deliver we’d be out of business.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Maybe we need to figure out a way to make the plan fit your budget, or decide what time of day will work best for your On Ramp session. Then you can decide if you’d like to get started with us. No obligation, no pressure. We want to work with you to create a plan you can stick with and a plan that will actually help you get results, not force you into the same mold as everyone else. Many people sign up at this point, some do not. Again, there is no pressure. We understand that sometimes people just aren’t quite ready, and that’s ok!

Occasionally, we may feel that another facility or program will better suit someone’s needs, and we will say so. If we don’t have a schedule that works for you, or if you live and work too far away to make showing up regularly feasible, and you really want the community aspect of group classes- we might recommend someone else that can help.

If you decide to sign up- we will get all the necessary info, and get your first session scheduled! Sometimes we can even make it happen right then! (Side note- if you know you’re ready to sign up when you schedule your intro appointment, just shoot me an email and I’ll make sure we have time to do your first session after we discuss the plan.)

Tomorrow I’ll cover Step 2 (Picking your plan) in more detail!
